Privacy Policy
Walli helps you see and plan your calendar. This policy explains what stays on your device, what is shared when you use Walli Cloud, and what happens when you connect optional services. We do not sell your calendar contents or use them for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Your calendar and Walli Cloud
Walli stores your events, dates, notes, people, categories, places and preferences on your device. When you use Walli Cloud, we process your account information and the Walli calendar content you sync to provide access, household sharing, recovery and synchronization. Account information can include your name, email address, account identifier and authentication information. Sign in with Apple provides an Apple account identifier and, when authorized, your name and email address.
People in a shared household can access the calendar content shared with that household. A read-only share link gives anyone with the link access to the calendar snapshot you chose to share. You can revoke a link, but revocation cannot remove copies someone has already saved.
Places you choose for events or plans can include names, addresses and precise coordinates. These planned locations can sync with the calendar. This is not continuous tracking of your device’s location.
Connected iPhone calendars
You can give Walli permission to display calendars available through your iPhone, including calendars from accounts configured in Apple Calendar. You choose which calendars to display. Walli reads their events through Apple’s calendar services and shows them alongside your Walli events.
This connected-calendar display stays separate from your Walli household calendar. Walli does not upload these connected events or your calendar selection to Walli Cloud, include them in household snapshots, or use them in its widget, JSON export or built-in AI calendar context. Events you separately create or copy into Walli are Walli calendar content and follow the sharing rules above.
Adding or changing a connected event uses Apple’s calendar editor, subject to the calendar account’s permissions. The account provider handles its storage and synchronization. Disconnecting calendars in Walli clears the connected display and selection; it does not delete events from the provider. You can also revoke Calendar access in iPhone Settings.
Contacts, pictures and scanning
If you choose to link a contact, Walli keeps the contact-card identifier, matching phone/email details and contact photos on the device. It does not upload your full address book. However, a selected person’s name and a birthday event created from that contact become Walli calendar content. Those chosen names and birthdays can sync and be shared with your household.
Your profile picture is stored on your device. If you choose a photo or use the camera to scan calendar information, text recognition happens on the device. Recognized text can subsequently be sent to an AI provider if you choose the optional cloud AI flow described below. You can change supported app permissions in iPhone Settings.
Optional AI and agent connections
Where available, cloud AI is optional and asks for consent before sharing data with a third-party AI provider. When you configure and use it, Walli sends your request and relevant Walli calendar text—such as titles, dates, places and people’s names—to your chosen provider. This can include text recognized from a photo. Supported provider configurations include OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI and Amazon Bedrock. The provider processes the request under its own terms and your account settings. Do not assume that cloud AI runs only on your device or that the provider retains nothing. You can turn AI off in Settings.
Separately, if you connect an external agent through Agents & MCP, the connected service can access your Walli Cloud calendar within the read-only or read-and-write permission you grant. That service may process calendar information under its own privacy policy. You can disconnect an agent to stop future access through its token. Disconnecting does not undo calendar changes or erase information the service already received.
Service operation, analytics and purchases
Walli records first-party service activity, such as sign-in, household, sharing and synchronization events, to understand use and improve reliability. These records can include the action, time, client, associated account identifier and technical error information. We also process network information, including IP addresses, to protect authentication and limit abuse. This is distinct from advertising tracking.
Cloudflare provides hosting, security and Walli Cloud infrastructure. Apple processes App Store purchases; Walli receives transaction and entitlement information needed to provide purchased access, not your full payment card number. If direct website purchasing is offered, Stripe processes the checkout and billing portal. If you contact support, we use the information you send to handle your request. These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Backups, widgets and reminders
An optional backup of your Walli calendar can be stored in your personal iCloud Drive for restoration. This is separate from Walli Cloud household sharing and from connected Apple Calendar accounts. Widgets read calendar information shared locally by the Walli app. If you enable reminders, Walli uses notification permission to deliver them.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or remove Walli calendar content, disconnect calendars or agents, turn off optional AI and backup features, revoke share links, and change app permissions. Stopping access does not automatically delete information already shared or data held by another calendar or AI provider.
You can delete your Walli Cloud account through the app’s Account settings after confirming your identity. You can request deletion of your account and cloud calendar through that flow; the calendar on your iPhone remains until you remove it using the app’s Data controls. Local exports, personal iCloud backups, copies held by recipients, and records held by Apple or another provider must be managed separately. Deleting Walli or its account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions through your Apple account.
Contact us for help with privacy or deletion requests. Provider-managed purchase records follow the provider’s retention practices. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal or operational purposes. Contact us for questions about retention or deletion.
Children, international use and changes
Walli is not directed at children under 13. Adults may include family events in household calendars. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
Service providers may process information outside your home country. We may update this policy as Walli changes and will update its published date when we do.
